Wadebridge Community Unites for Charity Cricket Tournament: Raises Over £1000!

Wadebridge Cricket Club Hosts Successful Charity Event

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, the Wadebridge Community Fire Station successfully held a 6 A-Side Charity Cricket Tournament this past Sunday. The event drew considerable support from the local community and managed to raise a grand total of £1086.68. The funds were split evenly between two notable causes: The Fire Fighters Charity and Clare Downes.

Supporting Worthy Causes

Half of the proceeds, amounting to £543.34, were donated to The Fire Fighters Charity, which provides essential services and support to fire service personnel and their families. The other half was directed towards Clare Downes, who is currently raising funds through a GoFundMe campaign.

A Collaborative Effort

The success of the tournament was made possible through the collective efforts of various contributors. Wadebridge Cricket Club generously hosted the event, providing a venue for the matches. Additionally, The Shoe Boy sponsored the winner’s trophies, adding a competitive edge to the tournament.
