05/06/2026 – Weather in Cornwall
After a run of soggy days, the showers are finally easing off. Don’t get too comfortable though, because the calm doesn’t last long.
The latest forecast for the South West covers Friday 5th June through to Tuesday 9th June, and it’s a mixed bag of sunshine, showers and, at times, something rather wilder.

A pleasant enough Friday
Today brings sunny spells and showers, with most places staying dry. Any showers should be lighter than those of recent days, though the odd heavy one is still possible. Winds are on the light side, so it should feel pleasant whenever the sun breaks through. The maximum temperature is around 17°C.
Things change after dark
The picture shifts this evening. Rain moves in from the west and turns particularly heavy overnight, with clearer spells only arriving in the west towards dawn. It will be windy too, with gales possible for a time. The minimum temperature drops to about 8°C.
A wet start to the weekend
Saturday 6th June begins wet and windy, before brightening up through the afternoon into a mix of sunshine and showers. Those showers are expected to turn heavy, with hail and thunder both possible. The maximum temperature again sits around 17°C.

What’s coming next
Sunday 7th June starts bright, but cloud gradually builds through the day, with rain overnight. That rain slowly clears to sunny spells later on Monday 8th June. Sunshine and showers then follow for Tuesday 9th June, with temperatures around the seasonal average.
So if you’ve been waiting for a settled spell, the next few days won’t quite deliver it. Keep the brolly within reach, especially after dark.
