Cornwall Heatwave Continues With Temperatures Up to 35°C

First the mist, then the heat. It is becoming a familiar pattern across the South West.

The heatwave over South West England is set to continue through the weekend and into next week, with today the hottest day in the forecast at 35°C.

Today

Early mist patches will clear quickly this morning to leave a dry and sunny day across the region. It will feel hot, with high levels of UV and only light winds. The maximum temperature today is expected to reach 35°C.

Tonight

The dry weather holds into the evening, with plenty of late sunshine to see the day out. A few mist patches may reform overnight, though most places stay clear. It stays warm too, with temperatures falling away only slowly to a minimum of around 16°C.

Saturday

The heatwave carries on into Saturday with another dry and sunny day. UV levels stay high and it will still feel hot, but a more notable breeze develops through the day. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 34°C.

Sunday to Tuesday

The picture stays largely dry and sunny into the new week. There is a small chance of the odd thunderstorm developing from Monday. It stays hot throughout, although an easterly breeze will bring a little relief in places.
