Rain, Showers and a Colder Twist: What’s Ahead for the South West?

A mixed few days of weather are in store across the South West, with brighter spells today giving way to further rain and a colder turn before the weekend.

Here’s what to expect from Wednesday 11th February through to Sunday 15th February.

Wednesday: Brighter Spells Before More Rain

Overnight rain in the north is set to clear this morning, leaving a mix of bright spells and showers for many areas.

By this afternoon, conditions are expected to become largely dry in the north. However, further rain will arrive into the south later in the day. It will also be breezy, particularly along the coasts.

Maximum temperatures are forecast to reach 12°C.

Tonight: Heavy Rain Possible in the South

Heavy rain is possible for a time across the south this evening.

Elsewhere, there will be a mix of clear spells and some patchy rain. Later in the night, the rain is expected to become a little more extensive.

Minimum temperatures will fall to around 6°C.

Thursday: A Grey Start, Brighter Later

Thursday is set to begin rather grey with some outbreaks of rain.

Conditions will turn brighter from the west throughout the day, although a few showers are likely to follow. Temperatures are expected to remain around average, with a maximum of 11°C.

Friday to Sunday: Sunshine, Showers and Another Change

Friday will start with sunshine and showers, before cloud and patchy rain arrive later.

Saturday is forecast to be colder, drier and brighter.

By Sunday, it will turn milder again as cloud and rain return to the region.

Residents across the South West can expect a changeable few days, with rain never too far away and temperatures shifting as the weekend approaches.
