Wind and Heavy Showers Ahead: What the Next Few Days Could Bring
A mixed run of weather is expected across South West England from Wednesday 11th March to Sunday 15th March, with sunshine and showers to start the period before stronger winds and heavier rain move in later in the week.

Brighter Skies on Wednesday
Wednesday 11th March is forecast to be brighter than Tuesday, with a mixture of cloud and sunny spells across the region.
A few showers are possible during the morning, particularly across Cornwall and north Devon. Conditions will be breezy, with temperatures close to average for the time of year and a maximum of around 12°C.
Showers Easing Overnight
Any showers during Wednesday evening are expected to ease, leaving clearer spells overnight.
A few showers may still occur during the early hours of Thursday, though most places are expected to remain dry. It will stay mild overnight, with winds strengthening and temperatures falling to a minimum of around 5°C.
Wind and Rain Moving In on Thursday
Thursday 12th March is forecast to be often cloudy with showery outbreaks of rain. Some of these could become locally heavy and may be accompanied by strong winds.
There is also a risk of coastal gales. Daytime temperatures are expected to reach around 13°C before turning colder overnight.

Colder Conditions Into the Weekend
Looking ahead to Friday through to Sunday, colder conditions are expected to arrive on Friday 13th March.
Early rain should clear before frequent heavy and blustery showers develop. These may turn wintry over the moors.
Saturday is expected to be drier, before more rain arrives again on Sunday 15th March.
