12/01/2026 – Weather in Cornwall
A changeable spell of weather is expected across South West England this week, with milder temperatures but periods of rain and strengthening winds at times.
Monday 12th January
Today starts off windy, although winds are expected to ease as the day goes on. There will be sunny spells and a few showers during the morning, followed by a brief but heavier spell of rain arriving in the afternoon. Temperatures are set to be above average for January, reaching a maximum of 12°C.
Monday Night
Rain will clear eastwards this evening, making way for clearer spells and some showers overnight. It will remain breezy and mild across the region, with temperatures dipping to around 5°C.
Tuesday 13th January
Tuesday will be mostly cloudy, with showers and outbreaks of rain early on. From late afternoon, cloud will thicken as a spell of prolonged heavy rain moves in from the south. Temperatures are expected to reach a maximum of 12°C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday
The rest of the week looks less cold than recent days, but unsettled. There will be periods of heavy showers or longer spells of rain, with winds strengthening at times. Despite this, there should be some occasional brighter interludes mixed in.
