Cornwall in for a Chilly Week as Cool Winds Sweep the Duchy
Just when you thought it was safe to pack away the jumpers, the weather has other ideas.
The Met Office forecast for the South West covering Tuesday 12th May to Saturday 16th May points to a cool, unsettled few days across Cornwall, with temperatures sitting below average for the time of year.
What to Expect Today
Tuesday started fine but chilly, with some sunshine breaking through. Cloud is expected to move in from the northwest during the morning, with the odd spot of rain possible. Things should brighten up again towards the end of the afternoon. The maximum temperature is forecast to reach 16°C, with a cooling breeze taking the edge off.
Tonight starts dry with clear periods. Most places will stay frost free, though cloud is set to roll in from the north just before dawn, bringing some showers and freshening winds. The minimum temperature is expected to dip to 3°C.
Blustery Showers on Wednesday
Wednesday brings a mix of sunshine and scattered blustery showers, with some of those showers locally heavy. Strong gusts are expected mainly around coasts, so anyone heading out for a coastal walk should be ready for it. The maximum temperature is forecast at 14°C, chilly for mid-May.
