Hail and Wintry Showers Forecast as Temperatures Drop
People across the South West are being warned to expect blustery showers, hail and colder conditions as unsettled weather moves through the region.
The forecast covering Friday 13th March to Tuesday 17th March suggests a chilly spell with heavy showers at times, particularly on Friday, before conditions begin to ease slightly over the weekend.

Blustery and Cold on Friday
Friday is expected to bring a mix of bright spells and cloud, with frequent blustery showers moving through the region.
Some of the showers are forecast to be heavy and could include hail. Over higher ground such as the moors, the showers may turn wintry. Temperatures are expected to feel particularly cold in the breeze, with a maximum of 8°C.
Chilly Night With Risk of Frost
Showers are set to continue into Friday evening, with some still locally heavy and carrying a risk of hail. Wintry conditions may again affect the moors.
Overnight, showers should gradually ease with clearer spells developing. Temperatures are forecast to fall to around 1°C, bringing the possibility of a touch of frost.
Saturday Brings Brighter Spells
Saturday is expected to be drier compared to Friday.
After a chilly start, sunnier spells are forecast, although a few showers remain possible, particularly in western areas. Winds should be generally light, with temperatures reaching around 10°C.

Changeable Weather Into Next Week
Looking ahead to Sunday 15th March through Tuesday 17th March, conditions are expected to remain changeable.
Sunday will likely see patchy rain followed by showers. Monday is forecast to be drier at first, although further patchy rain may arrive later and continue into Tuesday.
Temperatures are expected to gradually become somewhat milder during this period, although it may still be breezy at times.
