Cornwall set for warm spell before showers roll in

Sunshine to start, hazy skies by afternoon, then a small chance of thunder after dark. Cornwall gets a bit of everything over the next few days, with temperatures hitting 24°C before things turn more changeable.

Sunday stays warm and bright

Sunday is dry and bright across the region, with plenty of sunshine early on. A veil of high cloud spreads in through the afternoon, turning that sunshine hazy. It stays warm, particularly along the north coast, where highs could reach 24°C.

A chance of thunder overnight

The dry spell holds into the evening before showery outbreaks of rain move in overnight. There is a small chance of the odd rumble of thunder. It stays mild for most, with temperatures not dropping below 10°C.

Monday brightens up again

Those showers push east across the region during Monday morning. A dry, brighter and warm afternoon follows across Devon and Cornwall, with highs back up to 24°C.

What to expect midweek

Spells of rain are possible at times from Tuesday through Thursday, broken up by drier, brighter and warmer intervals. It turns breezy at times, and temperatures sit around the seasonal average.
