Weather Set To Turn Milder… But There’s a Catch for Cornwall This Weekend
Rain is clearing across the South West this morning, but more unsettled weather is on the way before the weekend brings a noticeable change in temperatures.
Here’s what to expect from Thursday 19th February through to Monday 23rd February.

Thursday: Brighter Spells Before More Showers
Any early rain in the east is expected to clear through the morning, allowing for some brighter spells to develop.
However, a few showers will move in from the west this afternoon. It will be breezy, with strong winds in the far west. Temperatures are set to reach a maximum of 10°C.
Tonight, showers in the west will gradually ease during the evening, leaving a dry night with some clear spells at first. Cloud is expected to build later on, and it will turn chilly in places with temperatures dropping to a minimum of 1°C.
Friday: Heavy Rain at Times
Friday will be cloudy, with further spells of rain pushing in from the west.
The rain is expected to turn heavy at times, particularly over the moors during the morning. Conditions will become drier later, although the odd shower may linger. Temperatures are forecast to reach a maximum of 13°C.
Weekend Outlook: Milder but Unsettled
Looking ahead to Saturday through to Monday, it will often be cloudy with outbreaks of rain or showers, some of which could be heavy.
Despite the unsettled conditions, it will be much milder than recent days. It is expected to feel pleasant during any sunny breaks that develop. It will also be windy at times.
Residents across Cornwall should be prepared for a mixed few days, with improving temperatures but further spells of rain before the start of next week.
