Cornwall’s Murky Start Gives Way to Hotter Weather This Week

Grey skies and coastal fog have settled over Cornwall this morning, and while parts of the South West further east will see the sun break through, the far west is set to hold onto the cloud for now.

The latest forecast covers Friday 19 June through to Tuesday 23 June, and it points to a warm, humid spell that turns hotter as the weekend goes on.

Today

A grey and murky start, with patches of coastal fog in the west. Cloud will gradually break up further east, bringing some sunshine there, but it stays rather cloudy across the far west. It will feel very warm and humid, with a maximum temperature of 25°C.

Tonight brings some late sunshine in the east, then a rather cloudy night with outbreaks of rain and drizzle spreading eastwards. It stays humid, with murky conditions near the coasts. The minimum temperature will be around 15°C.

Saturday

A cloudy start with some spots of rain, especially over the hills. The cloud breaks up through the morning and leads to a much brighter afternoon. It will feel a touch fresher, with a maximum temperature of 24°C.

Sunday to Tuesday

High pressure builds through the start of next week, bringing plenty of dry and sunny weather. Temperatures climb by day and night, with hot and humid conditions developing. That same humidity may be enough to trigger a few showers.
