Warm Sunshine Now… But Is Rain About to Return?

A spell of fine and dry weather is set to continue across the South West, bringing hazy sunshine and mild conditions before a change arrives early next week.

Saturday 21st March

Saturday has started on a chilly note, with some mist and fog patches in places. These are expected to clear, leaving a fine day with plenty of sunshine, although skies may turn a little hazy at times.

Despite the cool start, it will feel warm in the sunshine with light winds. Temperatures are set to reach a maximum of 16°C.

Into the evening, clear skies will lead to another chilly night. Mist and fog patches are likely to redevelop, along with a touch of frost in rural areas. Overnight temperatures could fall to around 2°C.

Sunday 22nd March

Early mist and fog will again clear through Sunday morning, giving way to a fine start with some sunshine.

Conditions will gradually turn hazier through the afternoon, with patchy rain expected to arrive later in the day. It will still feel pleasant, with light winds and a top temperature of 15°C.

Outlook for Monday 23rd to Wednesday 25th March

The settled spell continues into Monday, with fine conditions and bright spells.

However, a change is on the way by Tuesday, when it will turn windier with outbreaks of rain arriving later.

By Wednesday, cooler conditions are expected, bringing a mix of sunshine and blustery showers across the region.
