Cornwall Set for Extreme Heat This Week, Peaking Tuesday
If you have made plans to be outside this week, it is worth checking the forecast first. Temperatures across the South West are climbing fast, and the hottest day is still to come.
The Met Office is forecasting extreme heat building through the week, with Tuesday set to be the peak.

Today and tonight
Monday stays largely dry with strong sunshine, turning hazy at times. It will feel hot and increasingly humid under light winds, with a small chance of a few showers late in the afternoon. The maximum temperature is forecast to reach 33°C.
Tonight starts cloudy with a few evening showers and the chance of a few thunderstorms. The rain then clears to leave a dry, warm and humid night, with temperatures staying up at around 19°C.
Tuesday is the hottest day
Tuesday is set to be very hot and humid, with strong sunshine and light winds. High humidity will intensify the heat and make it feel uncomfortable. The maximum temperature could reach 36°C.
Wednesday to Friday
The extreme heat continues into Wednesday and Thursday, with high humidity and very warm, muggy nights. There will be strong sunshine at times, though it turns increasingly cloudy from Thursday. Friday looks slightly less hot.
