Weather Twist Ahead as Temperatures Hit 15C This Week

South West England is set for a changeable but very mild spell of weather this week, with temperatures climbing as high as 15C before conditions turn more unsettled later on.

Here is what to expect from Monday 23rd February to Friday 27th February.

Monday 23rd February

The day begins dry with some bright spells across the region. However, cloud will thicken from the south west through the morning, bringing light and patchy rain during the day.

Despite the rain, it will feel mild, with a maximum temperature of 13C. It will also be breezy, and some fog patches are expected to develop.

Tonight

This evening will remain cloudy, with some drizzle and fog patches in places. Conditions are expected to turn drier overnight, although it will stay rather cloudy.

It will remain mild and fairly breezy, with temperatures dipping to a minimum of 8C.

Tuesday 24th February

Tuesday will start cloudy and breezy, with patchy light rain, chiefly affecting western areas.

As the day goes on, brighter spells will develop, particularly in the east, where it will become very mild. Temperatures are forecast to reach a maximum of 15C.

Wednesday 25th to Friday 27th February

Wednesday is expected to be mostly dry and very mild, with some sunshine, especially in the east.

From Thursday onwards, it will begin to cool down. Conditions are set to become more unsettled, with some rain and strong winds possible at times through to Friday.

Residents across the South West can expect a mixed week overall, starting off very mild before a shift towards more unsettled weather later in the week.
