Today and tonight
Thursday is expected to be another bright and sunny day across the region, though skies may appear hazy at times, particularly in the west. Coastal areas and the higher ground of Devon and Cornwall will remain gusty, so it is worth bearing that in mind if you are heading out. Inland and further east, temperatures will feel very warm, reaching a maximum of 18°C.
Overnight the skies are expected to clear as high cloud moves away, though some patchy cloud may develop along the south Devon coast. Winds will turn lighter across much of the area, although gusts will linger along coastal strips and over higher hills. Temperatures will drop to a minimum of 6°C, so it could feel quite chilly if you are out late.
Friday
Friday brings more of the same. It will be a fine and dry day across the South West, with some high cloud returning to make the sunshine hazy in places. Winds stay gusty in spots, but conditions will generally feel warm, with temperatures reaching up to 17°C.
The weekend and into Monday
The good news continues into the weekend, with warm and sunny conditions expected on Saturday through to Monday 27th April. Winds are forecast to be light, making it feel pleasant across the county.
Sunday is the one day to watch, with more cloud likely to build during the day. This will cause temperatures to dip slightly compared to the rest of the weekend, though overall conditions are still expected to remain settled and dry.
This weather forecast covers the South West England region from Thursday 23rd April through to Monday 27th April 2026.
