Mild Sunshine Before Rain Returns to the South West

Residents across the South West of England can expect a mixed few days of weather from Tuesday 24th February through to Saturday 28th February, with early cloud giving way to sunshine before rain returns later in the week.

Tuesday 24th February

It is a rather grey start for many this morning, but conditions are set to improve as the day goes on. Cloud will gradually thin and break up, allowing some bright or sunny spells to develop.

The best of the sunshine is expected in the east of the region. In any sunny spells, it will feel mild, with temperatures reaching a maximum of 13°C.

Tonight

Cloud and patchy rain may move into the far west at times overnight. Elsewhere, it will remain dry with clear spells.

However, some mist and fog patches may develop, particularly in the east. Overnight temperatures are expected to dip to a minimum of 9°C.

Wednesday 25th February

The far west is set to continue seeing some cloud and patchy rain at times on Wednesday.

In other areas, any mist and fog should clear, allowing bright or sunny spells to develop. It is forecast to feel very mild, with maximum temperatures reaching 15°C.

Outlook for Thursday 26th to Saturday 28th February

Rain is expected to move across the region on Thursday 26th February.

Conditions are then forecast to turn brighter on Friday 27th February, although some showers are likely.

Further rain is expected later on Saturday 28th February, with temperatures returning to nearer average for the time of year.
