Is This the Best Bank Holiday Weekend Cornwall Has Seen This Year?
Cornwall is set for a glorious few days as forecasters predict wall-to-wall sunshine, rising temperatures and barely a breath of wind across the region this weekend and into next week.
If you have been waiting for the right moment to dust off the garden furniture or head to the coast, that moment may well have arrived.
Friday 24th April
Today should be another fine one. Any early mist or fog lingering in the east will clear quickly after sunrise, making way for a bright and sunny day. Temperatures will edge slightly above those seen on Thursday, reaching a maximum of 19°C, though winds will remain gusty in the far southwest for parts of the day before gradually easing.
Overnight, skies will stay clear with some high cloud moving in from the west. A patchy mist or fog could develop in areas prone to it to the east, and a grass frost is possible in some spots, with temperatures dropping to around 7°C.
Saturday 25th April
Saturday promises to be the pick of the weekend. Sunshine is expected throughout the day, though it may turn a little hazy in places during the afternoon. With light winds and a maximum temperature of 20°C, it should feel genuinely warm across the county.
Sunday 26th to Tuesday 28th April
The warm and sunny conditions look set to continue into next week, with light winds remaining a feature throughout. Sunday may bring a little more cloud and the chance of an isolated shower, which could pull temperatures back slightly, but the overall picture remains a very pleasant one for late April.
