Cornwall Set for a Warm and Sunny Weekend Before the Chill Returns
Dust off the sun cream and check the garden for frost cloths, because Cornwall’s weather over the next few days is going to keep you on your toes.
The Met Office forecast for South West England covering Saturday 25th April through Wednesday 29th April points to a largely dry stretch with warm sunny spells over the weekend, followed by a cooler shift midweek.
A Bright and Warm Saturday
Today across Cornwall is set to be dry with plenty of sunshine. Some high cloud is expected to drift in at times, turning the sunshine a little hazy, and the Isles of Scilly may see some cloudier spells. Light winds will help it feel rather warm, with temperatures reaching a maximum of 22°C.
A Cold Night Ahead
Tonight stays dry across the region with plenty of clear spells, particularly across central and eastern areas. Those clear skies will let temperatures fall away, and a patchy rural frost is on the cards. The minimum overnight temperature is expected to drop to 2°C, so anyone with tender plants out in the garden may want to take precautions.

Sunday’s Outlook
After that chilly start, Sunday will be another warm day with light winds. More cloud is expected than on Saturday, but there should still be plenty of bright spells. The maximum temperature is forecast at 21°C.
Looking Ahead to Next Week
The settled theme continues into the start of next week. Monday and Tuesday should remain largely dry with light winds and some warm sunshine, though nights will stay chilly. By Wednesday a cooling easterly breeze is expected to develop, and there could be isolated showers later in the day.
So if you’ve got plans for a weekend walk along the coast path or a trip to the beach, the timing looks good. Just don’t pack away the jumpers yet.
