Heavy Showers Could Hit Cornwall Today as Weather Turns
People across the South West can expect a mixed few days ahead, with bright spells, heavy showers and a return to wetter and windier conditions by Sunday.
Here is what to expect from Friday 27th February through to Tuesday 3rd March.

Friday 27th February
Drizzly rain this morning is gradually petering out, with some brighter spells developing. However, any sunshine could spark off heavy showers, and these may merge into longer spells of rain in places through the afternoon.
Southern coastal areas are expected to stay the driest. It will be breezy at times and mild, with a maximum temperature of 14 °C.
Friday Night
Rain or showers are likely this evening, but it will turn much drier from the west overnight with clear spells developing. Showers remain possible in west Cornwall.
It will turn chilly in rural areas, with isolated fog patches forming. The minimum temperature is expected to dip to 4 °C.
Saturday 28th February
Saturday looks dry for many, with sunny periods and light winds helping it feel fairly pleasant. Isolated showers may graze western coasts before heavier showers push eastwards during the evening.
Winds will freshen later in the day. Maximum temperatures are forecast to reach 12 °C.

Sunday 1st March to Tuesday 3rd March
Sunday is expected to turn wetter and windier, with occasional drizzly rain, most frequent over higher ground.
Monday should be generally drier, although showery rain is still possible. Tuesday may bring brighter conditions.
Temperatures are set to remain mild into the start of next week.
