Cornwall Set for a Hot Day Before the Weekend Turns

Cornwall is in for a warm, bright end to the week, but the forecast suggests the good weather may not last long.

The South West is looking at a mostly dry day on Thursday 28th May, with plenty of sunny spells across the region. An afternoon heavy shower is possible further east, though Cornwall is set to stay dry. While it will be warm and locally hot in the east, the far west will feel a little fresher, with some mist along the Cornish coast. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 29°C.

A mild night ahead

Thursday evening and night should stay largely dry with plenty of clear spells. Some low cloud is expected to develop over the hills during the early hours. It will remain mild, with a minimum temperature of 10°C.

Friday brightens up

Friday starts with some low cloud and perhaps an isolated light shower. Skies are forecast to brighten by lunchtime, with plenty of sunshine developing through the afternoon. It will generally feel fresher than of late, with a maximum temperature of 24°C.

The weekend takes a turn

Saturday begins bright, but heavy rain is set to move in later in the day. Sunday brings a mix of sunshine and showers, and then Monday could turn wetter and windier still. It is expected to feel cooler as the new week begins.
