Cornwall weather: brighter and fresher days ahead

After the warmth of recent days, the air over Cornwall is about to feel a good deal fresher. The latest forecast for the South West runs from today through to Thursday, and the short version is dry, bright and noticeably cooler.

Sunday

A cloudy start with a few showery outbreaks early on. It turns drier through the day as the sunshine builds, and it will feel much fresher than recent days. The top temperature reaches 23°C.

Overnight stays dry and sunny into the evening with clear spells, before cloud edges in from the west towards dawn. It will be much cooler than recent nights, dropping to around 8°C.

Monday

A bright or sunny start, with the best of it across the east of the region. Skies turn hazy as the day goes on, leaving bright spells through the afternoon. Temperatures sit close to the late June average at around 22°C.

The rest of the week

Tuesday to Thursday looks largely dry with sunny spells. A few showers are possible at times, most likely on Tuesday. Winds stay light, and it should feel pleasant in the sunshine with temperatures near normal for the time of year.
