Cornwall Set for a Hot and Hazy Weekend, But Storms Could Crash the Party
Sunshine, warmth, and the kind of late-April weather that makes you think summer has arrived early. Then the rumbles start.
Cornwall is in for a stretch of warm, sunny weather over the next couple of days, but forecasters are warning that thundery showers could roll in just as the bank holiday weekend gets going.
A Bright but Blustery Thursday
Today, Thursday 30th April, started with a few showers in the west of the region, but hazy sunshine is expected to take over for the rest of the day. Winds are blustery to begin with, easing as the day goes on, and temperatures are set to climb to a maximum of 21°C.
Overnight will stay clear with gusty winds early on, calming through the small hours. There may be spots of rain in the far southwest, but most of the region will stay mild, with lows around 9°C and many places holding in double figures.
Friday Heats Up, Then Things Get Interesting
Friday 1st May begins sunny before clouding over in the afternoon. It will be another very warm day, with highs of 22°C, but an isolated shower is possible later on and could turn thundery by the evening.

Unsettled Bank Holiday Weekend
The outlook for Saturday 2nd to Monday 4th May points to more unsettled conditions, with further showers and possible thundery outbreaks. The warmth is sticking around, though, so it will not be a washout, just one to keep an eye on if you have outdoor plans.
