Sunshine First… But Is Rain About to Ruin the Weekend?
A mixed few days of weather are expected across the South West, with brighter conditions arriving after a damp start, before a more unsettled spell develops towards the weekend.
Tuesday 31st March
The day begins dull and damp, but conditions are expected to improve through the morning. It should turn drier and brighter, with some sunny spells developing into the afternoon.
However, parts of Devon and Cornwall could remain cloudy. Where the sunshine does break through, it will feel warm, with temperatures reaching up to 16°C.
Tuesday Night
Any brighter spells across eastern areas during the evening will fade as thicker cloud spreads across the region overnight.
Patchy drizzle is expected to develop later, with temperatures dropping to around 5°C.

Wednesday 1st April
Wednesday looks set to stay rather cloudy, with further outbreaks of mostly light drizzle, particularly over hills and moorland areas.
Later in the day, a more organised band of rain is expected to move in from the northwest during the evening. Maximum temperatures will reach around 13°C.
Outlook for Thursday 2nd to Saturday 4th April
Thursday is expected to start with cloud clearing early, leading to a finer day with some sunshine.
Looking ahead to the Easter weekend, conditions are forecast to turn more unsettled. Showers or longer spells of rain are likely, along with some strong and gusty winds.
While the week starts on a brighter note, the changeable conditions by the weekend could bring a different feel across the South West.
