Cornwall weather: Saturday 17 October, sunny with a frosty 1°C night
Dig out a proper coat before you head out across Cornwall this weekend. The sunshine is back, but so is the cold, with patchy frost and fog expected in rural spots and nights dropping close to freezing. Here is how the next few days of Cornwall weather look, from a bright and chilly weekend to a wetter, windier turn midweek.

Today
Any early showers across the far west of the region should tend to die out through the morning. After that it is a bright and chilly start, with patchy frost and fog lingering in rural spots first thing, giving way to a largely dry and sunny day. It stays breezy along the coast and feels chilly in the wind. The maximum temperature reaches around 14°C.
Tonight
Dry and mostly clear through the evening and overnight. Rural frost and fog form again by dawn as the chilly feel hangs on, and it stays breezy in some eastern areas. The temperature drops to a minimum of around 1°C, a cold one for the middle of October.
Sunday
Another dry and fairly sunny day for many. Cloud increases from the east later, though, and that may bring some patchy rain to eastern areas heading into the evening. Temperatures stay below average, with a high of around 13°C.

The week ahead
The settled feel does not stick around. Organised showers move westwards across the region through Monday before clearing later in the day. A drier interlude follows, then more rain develops on Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures edge nearer average through the week, though it could turn windy later on.
