Today: Saturday 5 September
It is a mostly dry day across Cornwall, with plenty of sunny spells and lighter winds than we have had of late. Some cloud will bubble up as the day goes on, bringing a very small chance of the odd light shower, but it should feel pleasant whenever the sun is out. The high reaches 20°C.
Tonight
A fine evening follows, with some late sunshine to round off the day. Skies cloud over after dark though, and showery outbreaks of rain arrive overnight. It stays mild, down to a minimum of 12°C, with a southerly breeze starting to develop.
Sunday: the warmest day
Sunday 6 September is the pick of the weekend for warmth, though it does not start that way. Showery outbreaks clear through the morning, with the rain perhaps locally heavy early on. The afternoon then turns dry and rather warm with some bright spells, and the temperature climbs to 24°C, the highest of the run. It clouds over in the west later on.

The week ahead
The settled spell does not hold for long. Monday and Tuesday turn unsettled, with spells of showery rain at times and brisk winds pushing through. Things calm down again for Wednesday, with some sunshine returning and temperatures back around the seasonal average. So make the most of the warmth this weekend, because Cornwall has a wetter, windier few days to get through before the sun returns.
