Cornwall weather: Sunday 1 November, fog clears to mild sunshine
If you have woken up to a grey, murky start this Sunday, give it a few hours. The Met Office expects the mist and fog to lift and the sun to break through, with the far west of Cornwall likely to see the best of it. Here is how the week’s weather across Cornwall is shaping up, based on the Met Office regional forecast for South West England.

Today (Sunday 1 November)
A foggy morning that should not last. Mist and fog gradually lift in the east to let bright spells develop, and it stays generally sunnier in the west. Later in the day cloud thickens in from the northwest, bringing the odd spot of rain with it. It stays mild in gentle winds, with a maximum temperature of 15°C. A soft, settled start to November by the look of it.
Tonight
Rather cloudy overnight with the odd patch of drizzle drifting through. Some clearer spells are likely to arrive from the north towards dawn. It stays frost-free in gentle winds, with a minimum temperature of 6°C.
Monday
Monday promises to be a fine day. Early cloud soon breaks up to give some sunny spells, with perhaps a little more cloud building later on. Temperatures edge back nearer the average with a maximum of 13°C, and it turns breezy through the day.

The outlook: Tuesday to Thursday
Plenty of dry weather runs through the middle of the week, with bright or sunny spells to enjoy. Areas of cloud push in from the east as the winds freshen, and that is where the odd shower comes from. It is worth a thought for anyone heading to a Bonfire Night display on Thursday 5 November, mostly dry but with that freshening breeze and the chance of catching a passing shower. The settled spell holds, for now, with the wind doing most of the changing.
