Cornwall weather: Tuesday 13 October, 20°C and windy after rain
If you got caught in that burst of rain around first light, don’t let it set the tone for the day. Cornwall’s wet dawn clears quickly to a sunny, breezy Tuesday that climbs to 20°C, warm for the middle of October, before a windier spell takes over the rest of the week. Here is how the Cornwall weather runs through to the weekend.

Today
A cloudy start in the east, with outbreaks of rain sweeping through around dawn before clearing to a sunny, breezy day. It feels less humid than Monday but still warm in the sun, reaching a high of 20°C. Winds are strong at times, especially along the exposed coasts, so it will feel sharper out on the cliffs and beaches than the temperature suggests.
Tonight
The wind eases through the evening to leave a calm night with long clear spells. It turns chilly, with temperatures falling into single figures and a low of 7°C. That is a marked drop compared to Monday night.
Wednesday
The wind strengthens again for a breezy day, particularly along the exposed coastlines. There are long sunny spells in the morning, then more limited sunshine through the afternoon. It stays mild, with a high of 18°C.
