The second of the two courses is a one-off workshop on Wednesday, November 26th, from 10 am to 12 noon. A unique, creative event, it’s been designed by artist Ruth Purdy of Make It Better CIC to gather input about what health and wellbeing sessions people would like to see at the Centre – but using drawing and writing, rather than filling out forms.

“It’s more of a fun family workshop than anything, and is ideal, for example, for grandparents to bring young grandchildren to,” says EHC trustee, Kit Grindstaff. As far as people’s requests, she adds, anything goes: “From cookery and gardening, to creative groups and mental health care—Show us your ideas! Draw a picture; write a poem or story. We’d love to hear from our community.”

The event is free, and open to all comers, though sign up is essential. To book, email communityvolunteering@edwardhaincentre.org.uk
