The Bottle, Graze and Toast team up for one Newquay night

One ticket, three of Newquay’s best-loved independent venues, and a single evening that moves you from wine bar to tapas table to dessert menu without you having to lift a finger between courses. It’s never been tried in the town before, and it starts in just under two weeks.

A trail through three venues

On Sunday 4 October, The Bottle, Graze Tapas ~ Wine and Toast Wine Bar NQY are hosting a progressive dining event, giving guests three specially curated courses across three venues on a single £60 ticket.

The evening starts at 5.30pm in Wesley Yard, where The Bottle welcomes guests with a drink and a spread of gourmet nibbles and charcuterie at the boutique French-inspired wine bar. From there it’s on to Graze, known for its relaxed coastal atmosphere and Mediterranean-inspired cooking, for a specially created main course. The night finishes at Toast Wine Bar NQY in Central Square, with desserts, artisan cheeses and drinks chosen to match.

Guests choose a welcome drink on arrival at The Bottle from prosecco, a glass of house red or white, a non-alcoholic spritz, a bottle of beer or a classic margarita, alongside nibbles including marinated olives, saucisson and pickles, artisanal cheeses, anchovy and focaccia fingers, padrón peppers and a salted crisps and whipped feta dip. At Graze the main course is chilli-rub barbecued chicken thigh with pistachio romesco, carrots marinated in sticky hot honey over mojo verde lebneh, a Spanish vegetable and bean pisto ragu, and bread for the table, with most wines available by the glass. Toast closes the night with a choice of one dessert (Burnt Basque cheesecake, a dark chocolate and orange pot, warm cinnamon churros, affogato or a Cornish cheeseboard) and one nightcap, from Cazcabel coffee tequila and limoncello to Glenmorangie and Gentleman Jack.

“A celebration of collaboration”

Organisers say it’s the first event of its kind in Newquay, reflecting a growing appetite for the kind of collaborative food and drink evening that champions independent businesses and shows off the range of places to eat and drink the town now has.

“We wanted to create something that not only showcases the fantastic food and drink on offer in Newquay, but also celebrates the spirit of collaboration between independent businesses,” Wendy said. “Each venue brings its own personality and style, giving guests a unique experience across one memorable evening.
