Donation Supports Vital Rescue Work
The Cornwall Morris Minor Club has donated £300 to East Cornwall Search & Rescue Team, recognising the group’s ongoing work across Bodmin Moor, rural communities, and the wider East Cornwall area.
The team provides an inland search and rescue service for lost, missing and injured people, operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It is made up entirely of volunteers and relies on public support to remain operational.
According to the team, every penny raised goes directly towards essential equipment, training, and maintaining operational readiness.
Community Spirit Recognised
In a message shared by East Cornwall Search & Rescue Team, they said:
“Today we’re celebrating an incredible act of community spirit. The Cornwall Morris Minor Club, well-known for their passion for classic motoring and their long tradition of supporting local causes, have generously donated £300 to support the vital work of the East Cornwall Search & Rescue Team.”
They added:
“This donation directly helps our volunteer rescuers continue providing life-saving assistance across Bodmin Moor, rural communities, and the wider East Cornwall area — 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Every penny raised goes straight to the frontline, helping to fund essential equipment, training, and operational readiness.”
The team also shared their appreciation:
“A heartfelt thank you to all members of the Cornwall Morris Minor Club for choosing to support our team this year. Your kindness keeps us moving, keeps us equipped, and ultimately helps keep our community safe.”
