Rosettes and rainbows: Newquay’s Pride Fun Dog Show returns

Rainbow bandanas, waggy tails and a bit of friendly competition are heading for Newquay this month, as RSPCA Cornwall Branch throws open the gates on its Pride-themed dog show for the second year running.

What’s on the day

The RSPCA Cornwall Branch is hosting the Newquay Pride Fun Dog Show at Killacourt, TR7 1DT, on Saturday 29 August 2026. Registration opens from 1:30pm, with timings described as approximate, and the first class gets under way at 2:00pm.

Entry costs £2 per dog, per class, with every penny raised split between RSPCA Cornwall Branch and Cornwall Pride. The top three placed dogs in every class take home a rosette and a certificate.

Eight classes, one Top Dog

There are eight classes to enter across the afternoon, open to dogs of every shape, size and background. Waggiest Happiest Tail and Judges Favourite are open to all comers, while Most Prideful Pup is reserved for puppies under 12 months and Golden Oldie for dogs aged eight or over. Rocking Rescue is for rescue dogs only, Perfect Partnership rewards the strongest bond between dog and owner, and Star Performer is judged on the best trick. The afternoon finishes with the crowning of Newquay Pride Top Dog 2026, open to all.
