Penzance Old Fire Station goes to auction with £15,000 guide

Fifteen thousand pounds would barely cover a decent used car. In Penzance, it is the guide price on the town’s Old Fire Station.

When it goes under the hammer

It is Lot 51 in the November online auction run by Clive Emson Auctioneers, which concludes on Thursday 5 November. The sale has 169 lots listed across England.

The fire station is one of five lots in the Penzance and Newlyn area in the same sale.

At Pygnoweth, Trevaylor Vean, Gulval, a granite cart house with planning permission in principle for residential conversion and a detached studio-style chalet have a freehold guide of £95,000 plus.

In Newlyn, a unit on the Stable Hobba Industrial Estate, with a total floor area of 220 sq m, has a leasehold guide of £100,000 plus.

Two Newlyn flats are also in the sale, both with two bedrooms and a new 999-year lease to be granted on completion. A first floor flat with a garden at 35A Chywoone Avenue has a leasehold guide of £70,000 plus, and a ground floor flat at 4 Navy Inn Court has a leasehold guide of £92,000 plus.
