Ask about Dolly and Jolene and the answer from RSPCA Cornwall Branch is always the same. It’s the two of them, or neither.

A bond nobody wants to break

Dolly is a 3-year-old Chihuahua. Jolene is a Chihuahua too, eight years old. The RSPCA can’t say for certain whether the pair are related, but staff describe an incredibly special bond between them, and say the two are happiest when they’re together.

That closeness shows in the small things. Dolly and Jolene love attention and cuddles, and curl up together on a comfy sofa or in their favourite bed whenever they get the chance. They’re just as content out and about, going for walks, having a good sniff and exploring the world side by side.

Their ideal home

The RSPCA has set out what it’s looking for in a new family for the pair:

  • Potentially children who are respectful around dogs
  • A home where they may be able to live with another cat or dog, following careful introductions
  • A loving home that understands how important Dolly and Jolene are to each other

A package deal

Dolly and Jolene are being rehomed together and only together. The charity is asking whether there’s a family out there who could take on both little dogs and give them the settled home they’ve been waiting for.

Anyone interested can find out more and fill out an adoption form through RSPCA Cornwall’s website. The branch describes itself as a self-funded, local charity that follows its own rehoming process, and says it welcomes conversations with all applicants to help find the right home for every animal in its care.
