What RSPCA Cornwall’s Howl-o-ween bingo and auction night raised
A witch with green hair. A walking pumpkin. A table piled high with raffle prizes, and a room full of people hunched over their bingo cards. Animals in Cornwall were the real winners of the night.
RSPCA Cornwall Branch has shared the total from its Halloween Bingo & Auction Night, and the evening brought in £585.03.
The branch is self-funded, so every penny raised goes towards caring for the animals who need it most. It thanked everyone who came along and supported the night, saying their kindness and generosity “really do work magic”.

The people who made it happen
The branch singled out its volunteers, saying the evening would not have been possible without them.
Stuart and Sandy ran the auction, while James took on bingo calling duties and kept everyone entertained throughout the evening.
Local businesses behind the prizes
A long list of Cornish businesses donated prizes for the night:
- Stay Salty Beauty
- Eden Project
- Forge Cafe Goonhavern
- Atlantic Blankets
- Locked In – Escape Rooms Cornwall
- Secret Beauty Cornwall
- Pentowan Home Care
- The Lost Gardens of Heligan
Some guests went a step further, buying raffle prizes and donating them back on the night. The branch said their generosity made the evening even more special.
Costumes, cupcakes and a best dressed prize
Plenty of people got into the Halloween spirit and turned up in fancy dress, and the branch said it loved seeing the costumes. There was even a best fancy dress award up for grabs.
The branch described it as a wonderful evening of spooky surprises, laughter and community spirit, all while raising money for the animals in its care.

More events on the way
The night comes as the branch marks 30 years, from 1996 to 2026, under the banner “The next 30 starts here”.
RSPCA Cornwall says it has plenty more events coming up, and anyone who wants to get involved can find what’s next on the branch’s events page.
