Twenty-One Birdwatchers Record 28 Species at Ruan Lanihorne Event
Twenty-one nature and wildlife enthusiasts braved relentless rain over the weekend for a birdwatching event at Ruan Lanihorne on the Roseland Peninsula, and their efforts were rewarded with an impressive list of sightings.
Despite the wet weather, which saw heavy rain throughout with only a few brief sunny intervals, the group recorded a total of 28 different bird species during their time out in the field.
The event was organised by Rowena Castillo-Nicholls, Founder and Chair of Connect with Nature, RSPB Kernow Group Leader, and Publicity Officer of Cornwall Birds. Rob Nicholls led the fieldtrip.
