One last weekend to see the eagles fly at Paradise Park, Hayle

Dakota the bald eagle has two summer displays left on the calendar. After this weekend, the famous flying shows at Paradise Park wind down for the season, and anyone who has been meaning to catch one is running out of chances.

The final flying weekend runs this Saturday (26 September) and Sunday (27 September) at the park in Hayle, and there is £2 per person off single tickets for anyone who books with the right code.

Two flying shows, one day out

Each day has two displays. At 11.30am the Eagles of Paradise show puts magnificent birds of prey in the air, flying free, with Dakota among them.

Straight after that display comes a special photocall. That is where keeper Emma and Dakota were pictured, so it pays to have a camera ready.

At 2.45pm the Free Flying Bird Show takes over. Birds fly right over and around the audience while the keepers share stories about the species on show.

Stay on afterwards for the Scarlet Macaw Spectacle, when the parrots soar up into the sky. There is even a chance to have one of the park’s parrots or cockatoos fly down to your hand.

What else is on around the park

The shows are the headline, but they are not the only thing to fill a day out. There is a penguin talk and feeding, otter feeding, plenty of colourful parrots and the Fun Farm, home to miniature donkeys. For younger visitors there is the indoor JungleBarn Play Centre and the outdoor Paradise Island, and the park says there is lots more to discover besides.
