Police Spot Phone Box Activity… Minutes Later a Man Is Arrested
Police say suspected cannabis and fake bank notes were seized during a planned operation in Camborne and Redruth.
Officers from Camborne, Pool and Redruth Police carried out proactive operations in the area on Friday 27th February. They were joined by colleagues from the neighbourhood support team and the Special Constabulary.
The operation had a main focus on violence against women and children.
Arrest Made Minutes After Patrol Begins
Police said that within minutes of starting foot patrol, officers were alerted to possible drug use involving a disused phone box.
Two people were searched at the scene.
During the search, officers located a large bag of what is believed to be cannabis on one man. He was arrested.
Further Items Found at Home Address
A further search of the man’s home address was carried out following the arrest.
Police said this search uncovered further suspected cannabis as well as fake bank notes.
Officers also confirmed the arrested man was wanted by another force for burglary.
