New Soft Play Facility Opens at Liskeard Leisure Centre

Families Set for Fun as New Soft Play Opens This Weekend

A new soft play facility is set to open at Liskeard Leisure Centre this weekend, forming part of an investment worth more than £455,000.

The development also includes a new café and a relocated reception area, aimed at improving the overall experience for visitors.

What to Expect Inside

The soft play area features a range of equipment designed for children, including slides, climbing frames, a crawl tunnel, revolving doors, a ball pit and sensory play zones. All elements have been built using high quality, durable materials.

Birthday parties will also be available to book from 4th April.

Brett Price, General Manager, said: “Our new soft play is safe, colourful and packed with fun features. Whether children are climbing, crawling or making new friends, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.”

Café and Accessibility Improvements

Alongside the soft play, a grab and go café has been introduced. It will serve coffees, teas, sandwiches, paninis and small snacks.

Opening hours are 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday, and 9am to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

The leisure centre’s reception area has also been moved to a lower level.

James Curry, GLL’s Head of Service for Cornwall, said: “In addition to the new soft play and adjacent café, we’ve moved the leisure centre’s reception area to a lower level – making it more accessible.

“At nearly half a million pounds, it’s been a considerable investment that we believe will make a real difference.”

Opening Details

The soft play facility will officially open at 1pm on Saturday 28th March.

It will operate under the Better brand, with GLL continuing to run Liskeard Leisure Centre on behalf of Cornwall Council.
