Cornwall Presidents XV Set for Crawshays Clash at Camborne RFC

The Cornwall Presidents XV, selected by Andy Reed, will take on the famous touring side Crawshays Welsh RFC this Saturday at Camborne RFC in what promises to be a lively Celtic encounter.

Crawshays Welsh RFC, founded in 1922, are one of rugby’s most well known invitational teams and have been travelling to play fixtures like this for more than a century. Over the years, the club has toured widely and built a strong reputation for competitive rugby played in the right spirit, both on and off the field.

The Crawshays squad will be led by head coach Graham Dawe, with Mal Roberts overseeing the backs and Chris Fuca in charge of the forwards.

Cornwall’s Presidents XV brings together players from clubs across the county, with representatives from Penzance and Newlyn, Launceston, Wadebridge Camels, St Austell, Redruth, Camborne and others included in the matchday squad.

Supporters are being encouraged to make a day of it, with the match providing a curtain raiser before England v Wales is shown on the screens later in the afternoon. Organisers say a bit of light hearted banter between the two sides is very much expected.

The match takes place on Saturday 7th February 2026 at Camborne RFC. Gates open at 12 noon, with kick off at 1.30pm. Tickets are £10, with under 16s admitted free.

Rugby fans are invited to come along, enjoy the occasion and be part of what has become a long standing and much loved fixture when Crawshays return to Cornwall.
