Saturday is the pick of the next few days, with the sun out early and temperatures climbing toward the high twenties before the weather turns overnight. Here is how the South West England forecast, covering Cornwall, shapes up from now to the middle of next week.

Today

A dry and sunny start with plenty of sunshine to open the day. Cloud gradually builds through the afternoon, but it should stay dry throughout. It turns increasingly breezy later on, and it feels very warm in the sunshine. The maximum temperature is around 27°C.

Tonight

The picture changes after dark. It turns cloudy this evening with an increasing chance of a few showers, and showery rain becomes more widespread in the early hours. The overnight minimum is around 15°C, so it stays fairly mild while the rain moves in.

Sunday

A cloudy start with outbreaks of rain, then a gradual improvement. Conditions turn drier and a little brighter by the afternoon, and it feels fresher than it has of late. The maximum temperature is around 23°C, a few degrees down on Saturday.

Monday to Wednesday

The start of next week stays largely dry with plenty of sunny spells. There is a small chance of a few showers on Monday and Tuesday, so keep one eye on the sky if you are heading out. And the trend is upward, with temperatures turning warmer as the week goes on.
