Selected for the Celtic Games

Bude Surf Life Saving Club has announced that three of its members have been picked to represent Cornwall at the upcoming Celtic Games, the latest step in a strong year of competitive surf life saving for the club.

Who’s heading to Saunton Sands

Riley Vassallo, competing in the Youth Male category, Ema Sobey, in the Senior Female category, and Maisy Arthur, Youth Female, will all pull on Cornwall colours as part of a wider county squad of 24 athletes.

Earning their spot

The club says all three secured their selection off the back of strong performances at this year’s Cornish and national championships, results good enough to catch the selectors’ eye and earn them a county call-up.

Riley, Ema and Maisy travel to Saunton Sands this Saturday, 12 September, for the Celtic Games. Good luck to all three.
