The Eden Project Christmas lights you see from 96 metres up

Most Christmas light trails are something you walk through. At the Eden Project this winter, you can fly over one instead, at up to 60mph.

Hangloose Adventure is bringing back its Night Flights at the Eden Project from Friday 20 November, sending riders 96 metres above the illuminated biomes and festive lights on England’s fastest zip line. Hangloose describes it as the UK’s only in-air Christmas light trail.

More than 500 people took to the skies during last year’s Night Flights.

What a Night Flight involves

The ride runs along Hangloose Adventure’s 660-metre Skywire, high over the lit-up biomes. You can fly solo or side-by-side with someone else.

Everyone gets a complimentary hot chocolate once they’re back on the ground. Friends and family who would rather keep their feet on solid ground can watch from designated viewing areas.

Free on-site parking and lockers are available.

Dates, times and tickets

Night Flights run from Friday 20 November to Saturday 2 January, Friday to Sunday, with extra opening days over Christmas. They are closed on New Year’s Day.

• Times: 5pm to 7.30pm, extending to 5pm to 8pm from Sunday 27 December
• Tickets: £38.67 per person, or two tickets for £60
• Flight height: 96 metres
• Zip line length: 660 metres
• Top speed: up to 60mph

• Minimum weight: 30kg
