Cloudbusting to Perform Kate Bush Tribute Show in Truro This May
Kate Bush Fans Won’t Want to Miss This Truro Show
A live tribute to British pop legend Kate Bush is heading to Cornwall this spring, with Cloudbusting bringing their acclaimed show to Truro.
Cloudbusting – The Music of Kate Bush will perform at Hall for Cornwall on Thursday 28th May, as part of their 2026 to 2027 UK tour. The newly announced date adds a South West stop to a production that has already earned widespread praise, including being described by Classic Rock magazine as “utterly, surreally brilliant”.
A Long-Running Tribute With Global Reach
Formed in 2012, Cloudbusting have performed more than 500 gigs around the world. Over the years, the group has grown from a tribute act into what has been described as a globally recognised cultural phenomenon.
Their latest show reflects that journey, offering a two-hour stage production that celebrates the full breadth of Kate Bush’s music. Audiences can expect a performance that spans her career, from early work such as The Kick Inside to later material including The Ninth Wave.
The set-list is expected to feature some of Kate’s most well-known songs, including ‘Wuthering Heights’, ‘Babooshka’, ‘Cloudbusting’, ‘Hounds of Love’ and ‘Running Up That Hill’.
A Homecoming Performance
Lead vocalist Mandy Watson said the return to the South West was an easy decision following previous performances in the region.
Mandy Watson said: “After such a phenomenal reaction to our previous performances in the South West, there was no question about it – we absolutely had to do it again, to share this magic with even more people in 2026. I’ve lived in Cornwall for pretty much the whole of my adult life, so performing at Hall For Cornwall is so much more than just your average tour date for me – it’s a proper homecoming at the county’s prestige flagship venue.”
She added: “Performing Kate’s music is always an emotional journey. I want every fan to leave feeling like they’ve experienced the absolute depth of her genius.”
Links to Kate Bush’s Original Collaborators
Cloudbusting have also performed alongside several of Kate Bush’s original collaborators over the years. These include drummer Preston Heyman, known for work on Tour of Life, Never For Ever and The Dreaming, as well as dance partner and co-choreographer Stewart Avon Arnold.
The band also worked closely with the late Del Palmer, Kate’s long-time bassist and sound engineer, who performed live with them on multiple occasions. This connection has been described as a significant part of the band’s authenticity.
