Newquay councillors have £250 each to give away
If your street, club or community group has a small project that could use a boost, there is a pot of money sitting with your local town councillor that goes unclaimed more often than you would think.

What is the Councillor Community Fund?
Each Newquay Town Council Councillor has £250 a year to put towards small, grassroots projects that make a difference in the community. It is not a huge sum from any one councillor, but spread across every ward it adds up to a meaningful pot for local causes that might otherwise struggle to find funding at all.
How much can you get, and how do you apply?
Grants range from £25 up to the full £250, and the process starts with a conversation rather than a form. There are three steps.
- Contact your Ward Councillor to discuss your project and potential funding.
- Read the Councillor Community Fund policy and FAQs.
- Complete the application form and submit it. You will then receive an email asking you to upload your supporting documents.
Full details, the policy document and the application form itself are all on the Newquay Town Council website.
Find your ward councillor
Newquay is split into four wards, and the first step for anyone applying is knowing which councillors cover their patch.
