RNLI Quad Bike Vanishes Overnight from Praa Sands Car Park
A piece of kit that helps save lives on the Cornish coast has been stolen, and police think someone out there knows exactly where it went.
The RNLI quad bike was taken from Praa Sands overnight, and officers are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
What happened
Police are investigating the theft of a Honda TRX420 quad bike, registration WK72 RRX, owned by the RNLI. It was taken from the Sydney Cove car park at Praa Sands at some point overnight between Wednesday 6th May and Thursday 7th May.
The quad bike may still carry the RNLI charity branding or specific modifications. Even if those have been removed, there may be evidence showing they were once there.
Who police want to hear from
Officers are particularly keen to speak to anyone who saw the theft take place, or who spotted a quad bike being loaded onto a trailer or van in the Praa Sands area around that time.
They also want to hear from anyone who has seen the vehicle being ridden since, or being offered for sale.
How to get in touch
If you witnessed the incident or have any information or dashcam footage that could help, you can contact police via their website or by calling 101 quoting reference 50260114505.
Alternatively, the independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online or by calling freephone 0800 555111.
