Birdwatching Event at Towan Head Sees 18 Species Spotted
Sunshine, Sea Air and 18 Bird Species Spotted in Newquay
Fifteen nature and wildlife enthusiasts enjoyed a birdwatching event at Towan Head in Newquay over the weekend, making the most of pleasant conditions along the coast.
The group was treated to lovely weather, with sunshine and a soft breeze creating ideal conditions for spotting wildlife.

Organised Coastal Birdwatching Event
The event was organised by Rowena Castillo-Nicholls, Founder and Chair of Connect with Nature, RSPB Kernow Group Leader, and Publicity Officer of Cornwall Birds.
Rob Nicholls led the fieldtrip, guiding participants along the coastal location at Towan Head.
Eighteen Species Spotted
During the event, the group recorded a total of eighteen different bird species, giving those attending plenty to observe and enjoy.
Ending on a Social Note
The event concluded with an informal chat, where attendees gathered over coffee, tea, and biscuits following the birdwatching session.
