Bodmin Jail Announces Halloween Events and Activities for 2025
Bodmin Jail is gearing up to become Cornwall’s ultimate Halloween destination this October, with a line-up of eerie experiences, ghostly trails, and thrilling events for visitors of all ages.
Haunted Gallery Returns
The Haunted Gallery returns as part of the self-guided entry, promising even more to uncover this year. Guests can explore the history of hauntings at the Jail and around the world, encounter ghostly figures throughout the museum, and take part in themed challenges, photoshoots, and activity trails.
Go Darker Tour
Throughout October, standard heritage tours will be replaced by the Go Darker Tour, taking guests deeper into the grim side of crime, punishment, and the darker chapters of history.
Trick-or-Treat Activity Trail
From 17th October, families can enjoy the Halloween Trick-or-Treat Activity Trail. Children can complete an activity sheet while exploring the mysteries of the Jail and then claim a free reward from the gift shop.
Paranormal Audio Trail App
Also launching on 17th October, the new Paranormal Audio Trail app will immerse visitors in the Jail’s paranormal history and its most infamous spirits. Guests are encouraged to bring their own headphones for the full experience.
Ghost Walks & Paranormal Investigations
During half term, Ghost Walks will run from Tuesday to Saturday, offering candlelit tours through Cornwall’s most haunted stories. For those feeling brave, Paranormal Investigations After Dark give visitors the chance to hunt for spirits using specialist equipment under the guidance of expert paranormal wardens.
Halloween Fireworks & Day of the Dead Silent Disco
Bodmin Jail’s annual Halloween Fireworks event also returns, promising bigger and better entertainment with activities across the attraction. The spooky celebrations conclude on 1st November with the Day of the Dead Silent Disco—billed as the biggest Halloween party of the year. Only a limited number of tickets remain.
“Halloween at Bodmin Jail is always one of our favourite times of the year,” said Jess Marlton, General Manager. “From spooky family activities to our immersive haunted experiences, there’s something for everyone. We can’t wait to welcome visitors to explore the darker side of history, enjoy the thrills, and make unforgettable memories this October.”
