Family Release Tribute After Great-Grandmother Dies in A392 Collision

The family of an 88 year old woman who died after a collision near Newquay have released a tribute, as police continue to appeal for witnesses.

Family Share Their Loss

The family of Patricia Simmons said:
“Patricia Simmons, aged 88 and resident of Higher Fraddon, was involved in a vehicle collision on the morning of Wednesday 26th November on the A392 near Newquay. Unfortunately and sadly she succumbed to her injuries the next day. She leaves behind a husband, four children, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.”

Emergency services were called at around 9.50am on Wednesday 26th November to a collision involving a red Ford Fiesta and a yellow JCB tractor on the A392 at White Acres.

Patricia was airlifted to Derriford Hospital but died the following day as a result of her injuries.

Police Appeal for Information

Officers from the Roads Policing Team are asking anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has relevant dash cam footage, to contact police.
