Cornwall Libraries Brings Back Its Online Book Club for Readers at Home

Published On: 30 December 2025Last Updated: 30 December 2025By

Cornwall Libraries has announced the relaunch of its online book club, inviting readers across Cornwall to get involved from home.

The online group is designed to be simple, informal and welcoming, with people able to take part at their own pace.

How to take part

Anyone wanting to join will need a free Cornwall Libraries card if they are not already a member. Once signed up, readers can join the Cornwall Libraries Online Book Club Facebook group, where discussions will take place.

Members are also being asked to help choose the first book, with a poll currently open ahead of the group’s January read.

Reading for free

The chosen book will be available to read or listen to for free through BorrowBox, with both eBook and eAudio options available. This has been highlighted as a useful option for anyone short on time who prefers listening to books.

A relaxed space for readers

Cornwall Libraries says the group is aimed at people who are new to book clubs, looking to get back into reading, or setting themselves a New Year’s resolution to read more in 2026.

Discussion is optional, allowing members to dip in and out as they choose, with the focus on creating a relaxed and friendly online reading space.
