The rescue

Once the team located the casualty, they assessed the injury and splinted the injured limb. The casualty was then carried on a stretcher out of the dunes and onto the beach.

Handed over to family

Rather than calling an ambulance to the scene, the casualty was handed over to family members, who took them to hospital for further treatment.

The team wished the casualty a speedy recovery.

This was the 29th tasking of the year for St Agnes Coastguard Search and Rescue Team.
